What type of floor would you dance on (and why)?

    I can't understand the point of this poll. The only floor to dance Swing on is a wooden one.

    I have a pair of old walking sneakers with soles worn almost completely smooth, and they are okay on a good, fast floor. If your sneakers have any grip left, attempting to spin in them is a bad idea.

    In Cuban style dancing, you very rarely spin. Turns are usually walked, so your footwear and floor surface are a lot less crucial.

    Actually, I suppose the topic should be moved...it is actually more geared to all dancing.

    I'm 21 too and starting to feel it in my knees if I dance on a bad floor.... :oops:

    how about a good old fashioned barn dirt floor! yee haw!

    nice wood sprung floors are great to dance on but unfortunately unless you're a dancer you don't really care so i try and be ready for whatever floor i'll end up dancing on.

    different shoes for outdoors or grass or dirt

    insoles for hard concrete or non sprung floors
