I've had a pair of men's Dance Natural Latin shoes for the last several months. I just cannot get that pair of shoes to even give a little . . . you know, "break in."

I like the feel of Latin shoes . . . won't wear flat shoes . . . and do most dances - with WCS, Hustle, Cha Cha, NC2S, and Salsa - at the local club, and even do some 2 Step in those shoes. They haven't given an iota.

I do have other brands of Latin shoes, and they are great, but need a new pair. That's why I bought these . . .

    Anyone use them? Comments?

I would love to jump in here since I work for a large dance shoe company. Instead, I'm going to stick with the no commercialism policy. It's OK to discuss different shoes and brands, but please don't link to commercial websites in this thread.

My personal favorite is the Tango in Black Lycra by International.

I knew that you did, and I personally have no connection to a commercial website . . . just looking for comments on the DN's.

    Hey Vince,

When I was competing my Latin shoes were Dance Naturals and, personally, I always liked them. What finish do they have? Some have more "give" then others. As an aside, although I haven't tried them yet, I've only heard great things about Ray Rose shoes.

NOTE: Yes, I have interviewed Ray and think he's a great guy, but my comment is in reference to other dancers I have spoken to who wear his shoes.

No problem at all vince. I was more speaking in general that I didn't want vendors to become too opportunistic in this thread.

You might try having your shoes streched at a shoe shop and that may loosen them up a little. Dance Naturals are known for being soft, so I'm a little surprised. I assume you have the Article 10 in leather.

Supadance is always a good bet. They are the largest ballroom shoe company in the World. I guess that says something. International is #2. I believe Freed of London is #3. Other brands include Diamant, Werner Kern, Ray Rose, Angelo Luzio and Capezio.

    SDsalsaguy and DanceMentor,

    Thanks for the input . . .

The Dance Naturals are the Article 10 in black leather. They felt very soft and flexible in my hand, but they just didn't give enough for me. My Pro loves the feel of them!

What do you guys think of the heel? I had a time getting used to the shape and feel of them . . . not the height, that's OK, all of my other shoes have at least 1 1/2 inch heels

I do have shoe stretchers and the needed spray . . . I will give them a shot. I want them to work!!!

I have 1 pair of Diamant, 1 pair of Evening Star, and 3 pairs of Supadance . . . have not heard of the Ray Rose shoes.
