    【public square dancing】

"Public square dancing" is a popular pastime in China, but it is considered a nuisance among some local residents, who complain about being disturbed by loud music.

The Chinese government is cracking down on groups of elderly women dancing across parks and plazas, dubbed the 'dancing grannies'.
The dancing grannies claim they join these groups as a means of staying fit.

Sort of like zumba (the Chinese equivalent for seniors, not really zumba) in public parks?
