And here is a follow up. Pierre Dulaine must be a heck of a guy to work around. First New York City Schools and now Israel. Awesome.

This is showing at a film festival near me tomorrow night - and yes, I'm planning on going!

Just came back from the film. Wow. Stunning. It's basically "Mad Hot Ballroom" in a hornet's nest of hatred and prejudice. Watching the transformation of those kids was incredible. Watching their parents, and teachers, and community was even more so. What incredible courage and determination it took to bring that program to that place, and how incredible that two years later it is growing like crazy, even with everything that's been happening in Israel and Gaza over the last year.

Also rather incredible was the Q&A after the movie with two of the "Dancing Classrooms" crew - watching the light bulb come on for the audience when they realized that ballroom dancing can transform lives and potentially change the world.
