    The other night, I used, "I'm the worst cha-cha in the room; you'll have much more fun with someone else." And then I sat out the dance.

    Happens to be true; I do a fair-to-poor cha-cha, and he did have more fun with someone else.

    Same thing happened to me once. A lady (dressed like a Latin dancer) asked me if I want to do a Rumba. I told her that I don't know Latin. She says that we can try anyways. After 30 seconds of dancing, she says, "You're right. You don't know anything." She stopped the dance and walked off.

    wow...how rude...while I never say no...I always warn if I know very little about a dance to allow for an opt out...but, if the person doesn't heed my warning, I feel that they then have an obligation to stink it up
