    Hi ladies,

(I have lots of questions recently.)

I need satin blue eye shadows that will match with my standard gown. I went to Target because I thought it is just blue and that Target should have it. I was suprised that the brands that Target carries do not have any nice satin blue eye shadows. They all look too pale or dull. So I am headed to a department store. Before I go, I thought I should ask if any DF ladies have any recommendations for good eye makeup brand.

    Thank you.

Try the Chanel counter. While I agree that MAC rocks my world, I think you're going to find what you're looking for there.

Let us know how you make out (makeup?) :D

I think you can can only order Ben Nye online....???

The MAC eyeshadows that come in the little paint tubes are good, they probably have enough pigment in them.

You can buy Ben Nye in Ricky's in NYC. I love that store

Kat, could you please remind the address? I was there once and bought some cool stuff, but that time I found it by pure luck (S. happened to park his car across from that store when we came for a lesson)

Dancebug, where do you live? Is there a Sephora near you? I went to the Sephora in Boston today with Mambo Queen and saw some pretty fab eyeshadows--they had a couple of blue shades. The Sephora line is pretty good and they tons of colors.

They also carry almost every line imaginable. sephora.com

i think sephora is very expensive though...

i bought 2 shades of MAC and one shade of Ben Nye and one shade of jane almost a year ago... And I think they will last me another 2 years at least...

I have a lot more lipstics though...

I love Sephora, but then I'm a makeup slut

The nearest shop is in Southampton though. Quite a journey. However, the mother-in-law lives nearby, gives me an excuse to go down there...

For staying power and range of colours I love Barry M Dazzle Dust. The biggest thing I'd say though is use a specialised eye base. Everything works better on the right base.
