Also happy thought...I am nearing the end of physical therapy for another injury (not the toe)...physical therapist knows of my intention to go dancing...again, won't know how it goes until I try...

My company's onsite medical clinic now has online appointment booking... no more phone calls (which I hate anyway) with unnecessary intermediaries to connect me to the actual staff. Happy happy happy!

we have a new kitchen:inlove: Just love the induction cooktop. A bit spooked by how the pans slide around when stirring, but I tried putting a silicon baking mat between the cooktop and the pot and it appears to work just fine.... and extraction? Why did we wait so long!?

Cool! Did you have to buy new cookware?

I think a lot of med scheduling is going that way except for the specialists. Click-click and you're done.

My last physical therapy appointment was yesterday evening. I'm done. Oh, wait a minute now. I get to do the exercises I learned three times a week for, well, forever.

No, I already had suitable cookware, which partly influenced the decision. I tested all the pots with a magnet and only one was a bit marginal, and sure enough is not detectable - however it is one I got for free and have only used a couple times, so no big deal. What is really neat, is the multizones detect our little stainless steel jugs - providing I add more then one, as the bases are less than 120mm, so reheating gravy is a breeze..... and each zone has its own timer.... having so much fun:hungry:

Holiday gift shopping is done. :)

And nothing to do with anything, but after many years of wearing makeup, I finally figured out how do apply the perfect daytime natural blush. I use a Clinique chubby stick blush, and apply kewpie doll dots in the apple of my cheeks, then blend upwards along my cheekbone using two fingers (I am not a fan of makeup sponges). While the dots look ridiculous before blending, the result is what counts. I sometimes apply a highlighter blush, then I set the look with powder. I have two chubby sticks, one in apple and one in rose, and the two colors seem to be enough for whatever look I might be going for.

New engine is on the way for the Boxster. (You don't want to know what it costs... :jawdrop:) It should be here next week. A day for the garage to install it, and I'm rolling again.

I'm gonna guess close to 5 figures, just for the engine.

Random thought...yesterday at lunch I stopped at a small shop to buy a snack...there was only one clerk in the shop at the time...she was acting weird, talking about going south to a town an hour away known, among other things, for drugs, and I thought she was high...wasn't sure what to do...so I quickly paid for my snack and left...the manager is an older woman...maybe I should say something to her the next time I'm in the shop???...or best not to get involved???...I am thinking the latter....I'm not really sure what was going on and I don't want to get involved...

 :jawdrop: o_O I hope your car runs like it should after all this expenditure.

For those kinds of semolians I'm imagining you could just replace the car entirely.

But the replacement wouldn't have a nice new engine. :)

Probably less than a plane engine (turbine) overhaul though. :)

Let me guess... just under 20k?

And for the scratch I'm thinking, the LSx swap looks more and more attractive. :D

There aren't many things that cost more than that. :D "Aviation" is one of those words that makes the cost of everything go up...

I think it's going to come in around 14K, with labor, all in.

(And BTW: the car, running with a good engine, is still worth a lot more than that... just sayin'.)
