this morning, we received a "supposed" IRS is filing a lawsuit against you notice phone call on our land line msg machine. That said, this is a scam, a newer one at that, but still a scam. Don't return the call. This final and last robo scam call has made out decision easy, we are headed to Best Buy to pick up a phone that has a button for call block like our neighbor's. We cannot get rid of our land line but we do give that number out to, basically, people and agencies we know are going to sell their their contact lists. We had to laugh, with how urgent this supposed IRS call seemed, great acting but not biting the bait. Beware people.

AFAIK, the IRS does not call people. They send notices via USPS only.

If I were to omit my daytime phone number on my tax return, I bet they'd call me.

Even if they do happen to call, it won't be a robocall.
