    Hi all.

I dance on1, but then recently I started learning a thing or two about on2. While I understand it perfectly, I'd like to hear your opinions on this: are there songs that make you feel like dancing on2? Could anyone post a link to an example?

The regular verses of Me Mantengo clearly stress the first beat, but the interlude parts convey a strong on2 feeling (for me anyway).

It was discussed extensively on SF. Many/most salsa songs have accented upbeats. On the other side, various salsa remixes of pop music frequently don't. However, this is still quite subjective, as there are usually several instruments playing accents on various beats, so usually you can find arguments for whether on1 or on2

In reality, most people prefer to dance one timing (whether on1 or on2) and one style (whether xbody or cuban) no matter the music. But I prefer to suit my dancing to the music and pick the partner who can dance that timing and style for the particular song
