I would rather not be on a hit list.
I was waiting to see if someone would comment on that typo.
Btw, can someone who's staying in Hyatt remind me if they have enough lighting in the bathrooms? I am deciding if I should bring my make-up mirror with me.
I thought rising star was a pro division only? I did a quick search of the forum and didn't see a clarification - I was just curious what this was...
OSB is the most well known comp where there is an RS pro/am event... it is for open dancers who are not quite up there with the World pro/am finalists yet... similar to the difference between open pro and RS pro
oh thanks for the info!
How's the energy there?
Does the Saturday night session usually sell out? We decided to come and watch some of our friends dance but haven't gotten spectator tickets yet...
Not usually. It's a huuuuuge place.
Lights in the bathroom are not that good.had lots of trouble sorting out my make up earlier. The rooms however are much better. We even have flat screens now.
There's some result info on OSB web site now. See Winner's section.
Anyone else notice that the Ohio Star Ball banner on dancebeat states "Ohio Star Ball 2012"?
Jumping ahead are we? Lol..
The team match was good, I only caught the tail end of it. Region 1 lost its title, as region 7 won by apparently a significant margin.
The smooth evening last night was wonderful. The ballroom was full and loud all night. There were semi finals for both amateur events, under 45, and over 45. And I think a lot of people at home are enjoying the star-streamers live video feed, as I received quite a few real time texts and Facebook posts commenting on my students progression through the day and night into the finals.
Catching a flight from Florida and will be there tonight! Good luck to all that is dancing.
How are things there?
Congrats!!!! Wow -- your students did very well!!
