Tango Argentino > Perfecting boleos _ with a chair!

    Here's a tip for those of us struggling with boleos...use a chair.

    It sound so simple, but it's seriously effective and I can now do boleos...OK I have a LONG way to go, but they're better than they were a week ago.

    Simply hold onto a chair and flick away...

    If you do it, side-on, in front of a mirror, you get a better idea of what your boleos look like and you can start holding the chair with both hands and, as your balance improves, you can do it with one.

    I recently had an Argentine Tango class where we walked around a chair....forward, side, back, side repeat. It was supposed to be an excercise to help the ladies practice moving in a circle around the man. We haven't done boleos using the chair YET.

    A wall or kitchen worktop works equally well.
    Keep practicing MSM and keep relaxed.

    DM, I like the idea of practicing around a chair, but would that work for females? I'm trying to picture it. Would our steps be huge, if we did that? Perhaps chairs are bigger in Australia. ha ha. :)
