Yeah, I had higher hopes for that, but it failed hard.

My favorite scene from the whole movie was Chris Pratt on the motorcycle riding alongside the raptors. :) ;)

Chris Pratt is actually the scenery Hedwaite is talking about. ;)

IMO the only point of avatar was to create a beautiful world with beautiful scenery. If you don't expect anything of the story it accomplishes its goal quite well.

Don't forget futuristic-ish action scenes in that beautiful scenery!

Chris Pratt is exactleh the scenery I'm thinking about. :-D I, too, loved the 'rides with raptors' scenario (edit- I think that was one of those The Feels situations for the animal lovers around here. Horsepeople "get that', too!), but my favorite non-Pratt was the ending shot.

It was just a great brain-junk movie to sit down, check out, and enjoy for two hours. Hated redhead's Posh cut though. Seriously? It's 2015, and was the white an homage to MULTIPASS?

With the blockbuster success of Jurassic World, a sequel is inevitable, and no doubt Chris Pratt will be a part of it. :)

The Guardians of the Galaxy sequel is coming out in May 2017, and we can drool over Chris Pratt again. I've also read online that his Starlord character may show up in the Avengers: Infinity Wars movies, due out in 2018 and 2019.

Obviously not a recent movie, but I had TCM on, and caught "Arsenic and Old Lace" with Cary Grant. I have to think this movie was made 'tongue-in-cheek', 'cause it was kind of a hot the best possible way. At one point, I thought Cary Grant was going to give himself a stroke. Great ending, though.

I also caught "The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel" recently. LOVED it!

Just watched 'Woman in Gold', pretty interesting movie! Always loved Helen Mirren, now I'm inspired to go to Neue Galerie to check out the real painting!

I don't watch too many movies but my recent favorites are the Hundred Foot Journey and ExMachina. Likely going to watch Tomorrowland next.

I hope you saw Hundred Foot Journey. Now I need to watch Woman in Gold.
