    wow. i can't imagine what 50 inches even looks like...

    sounds like fun to get snowed in by something like that. i remember the big snow we had out here in feb '96... three feet. snowed in for 4 days. w/ sweetheart. no kids. plenty of food. movies. very, very good memories.

    Here is a prediction map for Colorado from the ABC affiliate there:


    My family lives in the 24-48'' area and the airport is in the 18-24" area.

    Well, they say that the population increases 9 months after a big snowstorm ;) I think my daughter came about that way, come to think of it.

    I agree. I'm very glad that this all happened before I even left for the airport.

    Let's see, 50 inches is 4'2". I'm 5'4" So, 1'2" below the top of my head would be about snow up to my neck. Almost buried alive.

    How kind of you. I'll get cherry pie ala mode at my local diner. I've had it before and it's quite good.

    Where are you going? I hope not the midwest.

    wow, yah. puts the danger aspect of the storm into perspective, too. imagine the drifts!!!!!!

    Don't know exactly how much snow my aunt in Colorado Springs got, but she said the whiteout was so bad you couldn't see your hand in front of your face.

    Denver Airport is now saying they HOPE to resume flights tomorrow (Dec. 22) at noon.

    A little icy this morning, but no worries with my snows. :)
