except that i met some friends the dancing was not too good on saturday. somehow felt very repetative, and not very musical.
but oh well there are such nights. looking forward to next weekend. some sweet and nice balboa workshop (never danced bal- really curious) and even got a place to stay.

I attended my cousin's wedding this weekend and danced a swing and a polka with my 84 year old grandfather. He's pretty good! He knows quite a few moves in swing so it's always fun. He can still move really well, too. He's so cute!

I led my sister through a couple of swings and an American Rumba. When she screws up she just crumples and starts to laugh, then I start to laugh so we never get very far but it's always hilarious. She took a couple rounds of Adult Ed. ballroom a few years ago so she knows the basics.

That sounds like a blast. Ya know, dancing with those guys from the swing era can be a real treat. They really know how to swing, some of 'em. Very cool.
