I will be hosting/ DJing a Tea dance in Eastbourne on Wed. afternoons from 2 - 4.30

Held at the Cumberland hotel on the sea front . Primarily social style music ,with a couple of Sequence dances included.
    Commences on Wed. 23rd .

I hope to make this a weekly event..

Tea dances on Sunday are awesome because they allow dancers who are busy in the evenings a chance to do what they love at a convenient day and time. The Sunday afternoon tea dance at one of my local venues is their "most well attended dance of the week."

    I hope that yours succeeds.

There are studios with socials on Sunday or Practice Party with competition rounds. They are cheaper than Friday and Saturday evening socials. Tea and cofee is provided but they are not called Tea Party.

Im moving from one major seaside resort to a larger one. The local one here has been very successful with a Wed, afternoon dance. 40/50 couples.. Im hoping for the same !! ( would settle for 20 !! ) .:)

Neither do we call them tea "Party". Tea dance, is what is normally used , and have existed since the early 1900s in London .
