DD has been dancing since she was 5 but only danced competitively one year when she was young. Ever since though I have been one of those moms who hears a song and can start to see the dance to it in my head. The last two years dd has been on the middle school drill team and their spring show is approaching. One of the final number is a "farewell" dance by those girls heading off to high school. They perform part of it, then go and get a flower from the drill team coach, deliver it to their moms and then come back and finish the dance (yes, with tears flowing as this is their "moment"). Not to long after I attended my first spring show four years ago, I heard "The Call" by Regina Spektor and thought it would make an awesome farewell song. Last summer I mentioned it to the drill team coach and I found out that they are using it! Yep, I'm going to be a total mess that night.
