And if you want to know exactly how much fun you can expect - Artemia of DF - just attended the 4 day/3night WCS Summer Camp with me, I believe you can say she danced her ____ off. We are behind the "let's go to New Years" push. That's how much fun, learning and dancing we had.
As well as her friend. Contact me via private message on DF for more infor. The workshop/party is sponsored by www dot PeopleWhoDance dot com. and it always sells out with an overflow hotel as well. And Palm Springs is goregous at New Years (minus snow). heh heh heh. hint hint hint.

Palm Springs is always a blast. Unfortunately, I missed the summer camp this past week, but I fully intend to make it for New Years.

3Wishes and I are talking about arranging for a table of 10. Anyone interested in going in with us for the table it's the same price but if we buy in as a group of 10 we get a TABLE... which I have to say would be really nice after wondering where I could set my water without worrying about it getting knocked over.

The Summer Dance Camp was amazing and sooo worth the number of blisters I am sporting. The level of dancing was stellar and there was even a whole room devoted to "Beginner Bootcamp" so anyone of any level would have a great time. Vacation + Palm Springs (at New Years, much better weather) + New Years Celebration = a MUST GO!

Thanks Artemia, and so much fun I can't begin to tell the stories. Also, 50 lashes with a wet noodle. It is www dot peoplewhodance dot net note the "net" at the end.
A table is worth it, many people need a place to put their stuff there are a ton of things going on and the tables are clearly and boldy marked with the reserved name on it. If your thinking about going - let Artemia or myself have a PM from you. It would be great to actually put faces to names of DF(ers). (BTW the food in the restaurant was steller!!)

Alright, so here's the current workings:

3Wishes and I are definitely going and we are arranging for a table. With the prospective interest we have been getting from both of our camps, we are looking to book more than 10 people and have one table for all of us. (That way we can go over 10 but if we don't get 20 it's ok... and anyone who joins us at the event can have a place to set their stuff since I NEVER saw a table with all 10 people sitting at it.) All DF members who want to be a part of our table are welcome to contact either 3Wishes or myself to let me know your contact information and we will fill you in on the details. The cost for a table is exactly the same as the pre-registration cost for the event, $185pp, but must be booked by Nov 1st. We're shooting to book far before that, so if you are interested but not committed contact us anyway so we can keep you in the loop!

I will add as an edit that this event is for more than just die hard WCS fans.. there is a beginner bootcamp for learning WCS as well as other dances -- salsa, Argentine, there was even a Ciroc class! The hosted parties are even better at this event than at the Summer workshops, check out the photos and video on the site. I was a bit hesitant at first to go to the event last week, but now I am absolutely hooked. If you're on the fence I recommend going -- the value for your dollar is beyond words and the memories you'll take with you trump any reservations you might have. Make your New Years extra fantastic, share it with us in Palm Springs!

Hi all. Just to be clear on "cost" for the table and verified with Jay (organizer), as I've gotten several interested parties asking the same question and also in regard to the potential hotel cost of the Renaissance Hotel is "normally $198 over the winter Holidays I think our rate is $125; the $185 per person for a ten person table is not extra or above the camp all event pass cost - its just buy ten tickets & get ten seats :) that is a reserved table :) " !

Due to significant interest from a collection of people from all over California, we are currently taking reservations for a 2nd table. The group of people in table 1 (and the names waiting to see if we'll fill a table 2) stretch from all over, and all are welcome. Even if you don't live in Cali, join us at our table!!

Send me a PM and I'll let you know about the details, we'd love to have you be a part of our group.
