I have never tested this myself...but have witnessed the same
Hi Killer_Thriller. Welcome. Nice (and totally appropriate) avatar, by the way. Welcome to the forums.
I'm a complex woman.
From my view, isn't that a spouse is? A good friend you've known a long, long time and trust completely? (At least, that's my ideal description of a spouse.)
I was by no means suggesting we all go out and sleep with a friend. Way too messy. And I agree. Sex can ruin a perfectly good friendship.
pshwew...I was worried you were having entirely more excitement than me for a moment there .....yes and yes on both counts
Never let friendship get in the way of some good sex.
now I know why you found my post so unreadable...not enough action in it perhaps?...btw, my personality on the cupid test says I'm never saccarhine...so there .....
Why thank you, pygmalion! I really like it here!
Just watching Nip/Tuck. Not sure how far behind we are but we are at the point where Christian and Kimber are getting married. Kimber asked Christian for a pre-nuptial fidelity agreement  (If the newspapers are to be believed, a certain famous movie star with a "sex addiction", has such an arrangement/agreement with his latest wife.)
Pre-nuptials to cover finances, pre-nuptials to cover fidelity. Any other pre-nups in the making?
Good idea... an easy way to make some money :raisebro: !!
Lauer and Lauer ( 1986 ) interviewed women and men married for more than 15 years and the reasons they stayed together. The answers, in order of frequency:
(1) My spouse if my best friend
(2) I like my spouse as a person
(3) Marriage is a long term commitment
(4) Marriage is sacred
(5) We agree on aims and goals
(6) My spouse has grown more interesting
(7) I want the relationship to suceed.
I like #6
It's certainly interesting...
ok, i am probably going to get shot for these comments......but it is my opinion.
The bible talks about marriage. Isn't a relationship's natural path then marriage ? The bible is thousands of years old and yet it talks about marriage.
I want to completely trust a guy before i marry him. Actually that is my first requirement. Break my trust and i'll show you the door, not tomorrow, today.
And yes, when it was needed, i followed through with my trust principle.
P.S. I have chosen to stay single for various reasons......
I dont think anyone here wants to be in the businees of shooting people for their opinions....you have every right to have yours......there are lots of ancient forms of unions in lots of sacred texts...and there are many thinking people who choose to model their own lives after those types of unions, or not, successfully, or unsuccessfully...IMO....anyone who manges to love well has found a formula worth keeping
is there a reason we are back to this?
"Ayuh" is backwoods/down east speak for "Uh yes".
i know that ...I just dont know why you reposted that old quote
Bumpting this up as this question has been on my mind lately :-?
