When you dance, who would you say does most of the work?
Neither. It's 50/50.
The dance should be 50/50, but the leader usually has to go initiate the dance by asking the follower to dance, both have to dance together, leader has to decide what to do next, follower has to be able to follow the lead...if they are at the same level of experience, I would say the leader has slightly more mental work than the follower.
Yes, but by the same token I'd also say that the follower probably has more physical work than the leader, i.e. more turns/spins, etc.
Depends on the leader, SD, I think... some prefer to spin themselves!
I'd say depends. Some leaders work a lot while others happily stand on the spot spinning women all night. And importantly, the leader gets to decide how hard he's going to work and also how hard the follower has to work-- the follower hasn't got that luxury!
   So true
that is why i like to dance solo sometimes
