    Good article . . . competitior's already know the routine and have it in muscle memory.

    Always smile and own that floor before you step out on it. Then, once you are on it, you must let everyone, especially the judge, know that the dance floor definitely belongs to you and you only!

    This is good for me. Since the dance teacher I've been taking lessons from has gone down to Florida for the winter no more ballroom with her. I'm considering joining the Cornell ballroom team and as part of that I might have to compete!!! But, I want the extra dance time so the more I learn about competing the better for me. :)

    West Coast Swing America has a lot of great articles on it. It's a shame they havn't posted anything new in a long time.

    When I first started WCS I found the site and studied those articles religiously...they have some great personal experiences in them that make them very human and relatable.
