I've always noticed that turnover of instructors is high in dance studios and reasons I've heard are that the pay is low; a tremendous amount of work plus very high standards and not uncommonly disagreement between instructors and management. I don't know many who remain in one place for more then a year.

I agree, spitfire. It's amazing how many drop out, even during the six week training -- the majority make it through a few days of training, at best. I think they underestimate the difficulties of learning and teaching dance. :? *shrug*
