I wonder why there's no updates on the site itself.
Anyone who's been to this great event?

The winners were Oliver Pineda and Luda Kroiter from Latin Motion Dance Academy...

    Go the Australian's!

(You might remember them from the Puerto Rico Salsa Congress)

I'm really proud to say that the couple who represented Bulgaria - Moni & Monica - are the European Salsa Champions :D .They are also the instructors at one of the Salsa Schools in Sofia.
I would be really gratefull for any further info about the results.

Wow.... so close to home!!!! Oliver is one that I am yet to dance with (though he danced with my friend Paulina the samba queen).

I believe our very own Pacion may have danced with him.....

His style...? Slot, mainly LA influenced ( far as I remember).

My friend who competed on the on2, mentioned that she would try to call me before she left the US to tell me the outcome. ESPN is, or was, supposed to televise it. I looked and looked but never found anything. :(

She leaves today so I'm hopping she finds a sec to give me a call.

It's supposed to be on ESPN Deportes and ESPN International... not any of the regular ESPNs. When? Don't know.

They have updated the website now with broadcastingdates.

"To Be Broadcast On ESPN Deportes & ESPN International Worldwide In April Of 2006. For Broadcasting Dates, Go To or"

    We don't have this channel.....

Let's see if those of us who have the channel can record it, compress to wmv or mpg, ahem ... :)

I'm glad for Oliver and Luda. Met him after the "controversial" result in the PR Salsa Open. You know, they came in third and Albert Torres decided to invite the three top couples instead of just the winner to the World Championships. Of course, some will criticize the seemingly arbitrary changing of the rules and others will call it poetic justice. :)
