I have a good coach, too, but I am a novice forever. How do you explain that?

Woo, I am not going there; I am not going to shake a hornet's nest. I've learned my lesson.

Heh, FP and NP don't even have facebook accounts, according to them. And I knonw that FP at least knows about DF, but she's never read here. Least, not mroe than a thread or two, or I'd already be in trouble. :)

hrmm, was gonna say most of embarassment involves FP, who's no longer my teacher, but since she still maanges the studio, guess I'm not really safe there. :p

Hi, I wasn't there for the rising star, but here is Saturday night:

    Pro Smooth:

    1 Peter & Alexandra Perzhu
2 Bill Graner & Lisa Vegas
3 Kirill Gorjatsev & Akiko Nobe
4 David Wood & ELizabeth Partain
Michael & Melissa Scott were in the book, but didn't dance pro, just pro-am, which they did enough of to get Michael top teacher and Melissa also in the top ten.

    Pro Exhibition:
    1. Tony Scheppler & Erin Bomboy - dramatic music, lots of lifts, black costumes and cat makeup (?)
    2. Paolo Di Lorenzo & Liene Darbiniece - straight standard w/ a few lifts

    Amateur Standard - Senior
    1. Robert & Donlyn Wirts
    2. Nicholas Mendjuk & Nancy Chiao
    3. Gary Reber & Haru Wladyka

    Pro Latin:
    1. Nikolai Pilipenchuk & Natalia (Nikolai & Natasha won all 5 dances)
    2. Jan Paulovich & Iryna Pinihina (2d in all dances)
    3. Krasi Petkov & Yana Petkova (34343)
    4. Peter & Alexander Perzhu (interesting combo - they do smooth & latin)
    5. Thanh Tran & Zoya Altmark
    6. Peter Ingris & Iliyana Schaaf
    7. Jonathan Bowers III & Ivanna Matsuka
Dimitri Ostashkin & Svetlana Ostashkina scratched, making this event a straight final

--I'm posting this in case the system logs me out for taking too long to type - anyone else aggravated by that tendency?
