Best New Songs

I'm looking to update some of my playlists (well all of them) with some new stuff - and by new I mean current songs, or at least those that hit the radio in the past two years. I'd like to have at least one or two "modern" songs for each dance style if possible to throw in - it can really lighten the mood with the college kids during an awkward or frustrating step :wacky:

I know there are some great song collectors on here! (ahem @dlliba10) I know there are other song threads but I really want to focus on the new stuff. International, American, Social, Any Style you can think of!!

PS If there is a similar thread already sorry! I couldn't find one!
PPS I've been gone from DF for so long  It's good to be back :inlove:

{I would like to institute some rules for this thread.

1) You MUST put the NAME of the song.
2) You MUST put the NAME of the singer.
3) You MUST put the YEAR the song was released.

That way we can allow people to search this thread... when you just put a video, with no other text than "hey whaddya think?" there is no way to find it again later.

And we can cut down on repeats, since you should (and will be able to) search the thread to make sure the song you are ready to plop on here is not already posted.

And we can keep the list current, since the name of the thread is best NEW songs.

PLEASE take care to keep this thread useable, searchable, and a valuable resource, instead of just a junk drawer of videos.

This is a great idea! I'm always looking for new songs to refresh my dance playlist. I love the old favorites too, but sometimes it's nice to have a new song to dance to.
I have been wanting to do a cha cha to 'Counting stars' by one republic. Just need to get my pro on board!

East Coast Swing:
The Black Keys
Gold On the Ceiling
Year: 2011

I know this one isn't the last two years, but there really aren't many Jive songs out there... especially new ones.

Jive:
Christina Aguleria
CandyMan
Year: 2006

Goofy song to Cha-Cha to, but it fits well. May not be the best for beginners:

LMFAO
I'm Sexy and I Know It
Year:2011

More will come to me I'm sure, but that's it for tonight!

How about "last few weeks?" This is west coast, but could be done as a slow east coast swing:

KIX
Love Me With Your Top Down
Year:2014

Taylor Swift's new song, Shake, is a good jive, if Tay Swift tickles your fancy...

Also Ed Sheeran's two new songs, Sing and Don't, are great WCS.

When it comes to entertainment and dancing, TS has to be the biggest anomaly.
She's obviously very musical and great at creating/singing bubblegum pop, but
the girl has no coordination, for whatever reason. But, when you are 20-something
and one of the biggest music divas, having one of the largest number of top-40s
hits, you can dance like nobody's watching without making any excuses...

She would be a true challenge for a pro to train on DWTS.
