Awhile back we were talking about arch supports for flat feet. I need some for my new latin shoes.. I ordered my last pair from Hapad, which someone had suggested. I have the catalog and now i see that there is several different kinds. Last time I ordered the metatarsal pads. They also offer a dancer pad that has a cut out at the big toe.. Anyway, now I am not sure which would work best.. Anyone tried the different kinds??? Didn't know how much the help until i tried my new shoes..

Hi liz,

I have used many of the pads from Hapad. I really like their products, they are of good quality and helped me quite a bit when I had injuries to my feet.

The dancer's pads from Hapad were too bulky for me to use. They mainly are designed to help with problems in the first metatarsal joint (i.e. sesamoiditis, turf toe, etc.). The cut out in the pad is supposed to take pressure off the first metatarsal, but they just never seem to fit my foot well. You might have a different experience.

I have also used the Longitudinal Metatarsal Arch Pads and I found them to be a great help when I had my injuries. However, they too are large so you may have to order a slightly larger shoe size to accommodate the pad.

I have found that the Metatarsal pads are great for helping to take pressure off the ball of the foot. The Longitudinal Metatarsal Arch Pads were great for the same and providing support to the arch.

thanks for the advice ... Might order several styles... The longitudial metatarsal pads might work better. My new dance naturals seem to be alittle loose and these might solve this problem...

Okay, good luck. One note on the Longitudinal pads, I used them for my latin shoes and therefore had to cut a portion of the pad away so that the pad did not hang over the inside edge of the shoe near the arch. I used a craft type knife (not exacto, the craft knife is a sturdier) and it worked well to cut away the excess.
