Music for Halloween

#62
I am hosting a Halloween Dance Party at my studio and am looking for Halloween songs. I have a lot of older songs (Thriller, Monster Mash, Witchcraft, etc) but am looking for any songs from 2000 and on. I would prefer if you could dance to them (Cha Cha, Merengue, Waltz, etc) - social dancing. Any suggestions would be great!

You can use songs with a dark theme: Addicted to love, Highway to Hell, Under my thumb, Devil with the Blue Dress, Sympathy for the Devil, Hate Myself for Loving You, and of course Ghostbusters, Thriller and Time Warp, which is quick to learn. You can also search out theme songs from scary movies.

You might want to go through the DWTS music archives on Wikipedia. Season 13 Week 7 was Halloween week, I think you should check that out. Season 3 Week 8 also had "dark" numbers too.

These are very good. These are all on Spotify. These are all under my playlist "Halloween Ballroom"

Oggie Boogie song (This is Halloween)--quickstep
Witch Doctor (David Seville) --maybe a peabody or quickstep

Trust in Me (Jungle Book soundtrack) --Great Rhumba, not great for halloween,
Bell Book and Candle (The Craft Soundtrack, Graeme Revell) Rhumba

Ding Dong the Witch is Dead (Alex Sings Oscar Swings) fabulous triple step
The Vampire Club (Voltaire) Swing (of a piece with monster mash, people eater, etc)

The End (Danny Elfman) waltz
Waltz of the Dead (in dark solitude) waltz

Tango De Amor (the Addams Family broadway album)--cha cha, haha, kidding
When you're Evil (Voltaire) tango
Addams Family (tango, but tricky to get a version that is more than 2 min)

Reasons to be Miserable (Hitchhiker's Guide Soundtrack) Cha Cha

Ding Dong the witch is dead, Witchcraft (Ella Fitzgerald) Very good Foxtrot
Several Frank Sinatra foxtrots already mentioned (THat old black magic, Witchcraft
Rod Stewart foxtrots I find particularly scary, just the concept!

GhostBusters--hustle, maybe cha cha
Night on Disco Mountain (Saturday night fever soundtrack) hustle

Perhaps it has already been mentioned (although thread search didn't think so), but "Peter Cushing Lives in Whitstable" by the Jellybottys would make a good ECS.
