I think I have the answer to what our instructor called an 'outside run'.
I'm looking at the Quick Open Reverse Turn.
If I consider two things
a) Transition steps may be confusing the issue
b) Our instructor says we will 'speed it up' at some point
I am no longer looking for 5 steps going back on the left (lady) SSSSS.
So discounting the first step it would now fit as a SQQS as quoted in my book
Begin with the lady backing the LOD
S Back RF
Q Side LF slightly forward
Q Foward RF, OP, in CCMP
turning left on those 3 to face LOD
Finish according to which figure follows
S Forward LF in front of partner
After comes a QQS and a lock step but I haven't quite fathomed yet if that's a 'basic' + lockstep or meant to be something else.
I see it is often used in sequences with a V6 or 4 quick runs so I'm guessing that's where we're heading in time
.
mmmm That may be 'running' before we can walk, if you'll excuse the pun!
