There are many threads like these, I'll keep looking. Some of them are older/somewhat dead, so if you have new information on these areas, please ressurect them and post!:D In the meanwhile, if anyone has a link to a similar thread, please post here and I'll add it to the list!
Hope this helps,

Twilight Elena

P.s. I just added the geographical categories. Might have silly mistakes there, please point them out.

P.s. And to think I'm doing this in the middle of exams...
TW, I find myself writing more on DF during assessment period... I'm suspecting this happens to me cause I'm in front of the computer or at the desk more than other times? :?

Thanks for the list btw! Such a nifty idea :D

Wow Twilight Elena! This is amazing work you are doing. Thank you very much. I have made it a sticky.

When are you going to get back to your studies/revision? Not that I am ungrateful, I know how easy "other" tasks can look enticing when I am studying. I have been known to find a sudden interest in gardening or rearranging ALL the furniture in the house, at exam time :?

:D :D :D Thanks, Pacion. I've got a sticky! Yay!
I'm studying all the time, and when I take breaks I post here and listen to some music (I can't study and listen to salsa, I can't sit still! :p :p ). Exams start 21st May and end 9th June, so I won't be around from next Monday and for 3 weeks. Better make the most of it. :p

It's just occurred to me that this may be a good place to put this external link...
 SalsaWeb World Cityguide (http://cityguides.salsaweb.com/)

The information coverage is not necessarily comprehensive, but many city guide pages have links to local salsa websites, which might prove useful in your search for your out-of-town salsa fix.
Added. Thanks, Mac. :D Also did some geographical categorising for better use.

Salsa in Hanoi

Nutz Pub
Sheraton Hotel
K5 Nghi Tam, 11 Xuan Dieu Road,
Tay Ho District
Hanoi Vietnam
Phone (84)(4) 719-9000
Every Saturday nights
7pm – 8pm: basic salsa lesson
8pm – 2am: salsa dancing

Nutz Pub is the most popular salsa venue in Hanoi and
attracts young crowd of Vietnameses. Most expatriate
dancers come here for Salsa as well. The dance style
is Cuban Casino, sometime there are LA styled salsa
dancers but very rare. Some of the Vietnamese dancers
come from ballroom background.

Nutz Pub is very spacious, very good smoke-filtering
and air-conditioning system so you will hardly sweat
or smell of smoke! Lighting, music system and dance
floor are very well taken care of.

Free entrance for both lesson and dancing

The Terrace
Press Club
59 A Ly Thai To St., Hanoi - S. R. Vietnam
Tel: (84-4) 934-0888
Fax: (84-4) 934-0899
Every Friday nights
9pm – 2am: Latin music

From Press Club’s website: “The open terrace atop the
Press Club is a place with great views of the city.
This is the place to see and be seen on Friday nights.
Expatriate bands jamming and Latino DJs mixing wide
ranging styles of music to keep the chic on the move.
A gorgeous and affluent crowd dresses to kill. Expect
nothing less.”

Though the music played here is not “strictly salsa”
but depending on the crowd the DJ can play salsa more
often than other music. On a good night one can find
some salsa dancers here, or else mostly drinkers and
"casual" dancers.

Note that The Terrace is an open aired venue, the
wooden dance floor is paved in such a way that high
heels can get stuck sometime. Most club goers are
expatriates and trendy Vietnameses.

Free entrance
