"Stanford Ballroom cordially invite you to our 13th annual Cardinal Classic ballroom competition to be held on Saturday April 21st at Stanford University.

Headlining the exciting day and evening will be a breathtaking 5-dance showcase at approximately 10:30pm by WDSF World Ballroom Champions, Emanuel Valeri & Tania Kehlet, from ITALY & DENMARK!

Step out onto the floor before the exciting day of competitions with an evening of international-style ballroom workshops taught by our illustrious show couple. No experience (for Beginner) or partner required!

FRIDAY April 20, 2012

Beginner & Advanced Workshops (separate workshops with either Emanuel or Tania)
7:00-07:45pm Waltz
7:45-08:30pm Tango
8:30-09:15pm Foxtrot
9:15-10:00pm Quickstep

Students $10 per workshop or $30 for all four
General $20 per workshop or $60 for all four

Emanuel & Tania are available for a very limited number of private lessons before the workshops.


SATURDAY April 21, 2012

Events are offered in Standard, Latin, Smooth, and Rhythm in levels from Newcomer through Open; plus Nightclub events, Formation Teams, and performances by Stanford student dance groups. There will be $100 scholarships awarded to the winning couple in Open Standard and Open Latin, in the adult and junior categories.

Spectator:
$5 daytime-only (pay at the door)
$20 all-day general admission
$10 extra for evening front-row reserved seating
$5 student discount (non-Stanford, off total)
FREE all-day for Stanford students with SUID


Competitor: Registration deadline is Sunday April 8th.
