Swing Couple on Star Search Tonight!

From Barry Durand:

Hi All, One of our dance couples in the Swing world is competing ON TV TONIGHT. It would be great for all of us, whether Swing, Country, Line Dancer, Hustle, Shag..... whatever, to log on and vote tonight for them! It will help put our brand of social dancing on the map!

Jordan Frisbee & Tatiana Mollman on "Star Search" TONIGHT! Last year they won $25,000 on "30 Seconds to Fame" tonight they try it again on "Star Search" which is on starting at 8pm Eastern time on CBS. (if you are in Europe that will be 1 am UK and 2am Continental)

Here's some additional info. The judging/voting is all live so you'll have to be on the website www.cbs.com/star during the 8PM Eastern, 7 Central, 6 Mountain, or 5 Pacific time frame. The youth singer category is first, followed by the Special Dance Category. There is only about a 3 minute window to vote for each category. Once you are at the site, the approximate voting times are displayed for each category. It's a live show for the East and Central areas so they do stick very close to the schedule."

Host: Arsenio Hall Judges: Naomi Judd, Magic Johnson, Ben Stein, Adam Carolla, Hillary Duff, Ahmed Zappa.

Contestants must move from quarter-finals to semi-finals to Finals to win the Grand Prize.

Tune in: CBS-TV, Wednesday, March 5th, 8 PM (all time zones)

Important notice: Unlike "American Idol", voting on "Star Search" is active for only a few minutes after each performance. Furthermore, the show is broadcast "live" in only the Eastern / Central time zones so those wanting to vote in the Western United States cannot do so during the period of time that the "tape-delay" version airs in their areas. Nonetheless, the CBS website will be open beginning at 8 PM Eastern and will display approximate times for voting for each category of entertainment - so please be online at that time.

Thanks for your support.

From Barry Durand:

Attention Swing & Country Dancers - this is cool!
U.S. Open Swing Dance Champions, Jordan Frisbee and Tatiana Mollman, won their preliminary competition last night on Star Search with a smooth, classy, and energetic Westcoast Swing. While the judges didn't really know what they were seeing (see report below), they knew that Jordan and T were good. All of our voting on the internet must have helped as they won by a resounding margin!

To see the video of their performance go to www.5678magazine.com

We all need to be there and spread the word next week as they go to the semi-finals next Friday March 14th. Tune in Friday and log on to www.cbs.com/star and you will see an approximate time to vote. When you are able - vote like mad - it seems to take every vote, rather than just one per email address. Please spread the word to all your friends. Let's put our brand of social dance on the map.

Look for the complete story and interview with Jordan and Tatiana in the next issue of 5678 Magazine. Find out all the behind the scenes details and more! www.5678magazine.com

As reported on CBS - Star Search Website

Extensions vs. Jordan & Tatiana Jordan Frisbee & Tatiana Mollman, from Orange County, California, won tonight's Young Dancer preliminary round and will advance to the Semi-Finals next Friday, March 14 at 8pm ET/PT. Dancing first tonight was the peppy jazz ensemble Extensions, consisting of Desiree Withers, Tracie Phillips and Pre' Rollins. Jordan & Tatiana danced second, and their lively neo-jitterbug routine inspired Ahmet Zappa to exclaim to Jordan, "Mr. Frisbee, you know how to spin your lady!" The judges were enthusiastic about both dance groups, but when the scoring was totaled, Jordan & Tatiana were ahead by 1 star.

The home audience widened that gap as they upheld the judges' decision. With 34 stars, duo Jordan and Tatiana won the Young Dancer category tonight and will dance again in the Semi-Finals next Friday, March 14.
