I've enjoyed very much the clips at the sites you've placed here.
I would like to add something I guess many of you haven't seen yet.
I'm talking about classes I saw some 15-20 years ago at the TV in Buenos Aires. There was a time they used to broadcast Tango lessons every day at 9 pm.
I found them again some time ago, and posted them in my site.
The lessons are soooo well done... Beautiful steps, very well explained.
Are you ready?
This one is the former site by Sebastian Arce, now an abandoned URL . Some of his videos can be found on h t t p : / / premiumwanadoo.com/mephisto-tango/uk/uk_videos.html
but even on this newer page some of the promised videos are just dead links.
I don't really understand it myself, to be honest.
Our guess is some people work hard on making some really impressive routines and they wouldn't want people studying them off videos and copying them later - or perhaps they want to make their own videos and sell them in the future.
I've met couples who had absolutely no problem being filmed, couples who were reluctant and couples who absolutely do not want to be filmed.
So, I always ask before filming a demo where it's possible to do so, and obviously never publish material without permission.
And I'm always keen to film, even if it's for my personal collection only, so performers beware, I'm not one to give up on filming very easily (any more ).
How are attitudes towards filming where you're from (New York is it)?
