Have you seen this Youtube site?

Pretty stupid for most . . . video are crappy and there are pauses in the middle of some, but it is entertaining . . .

I typed in "Salsa dance" in the search . . . there are some good dancers, well at least to me, one who dances Salsa as a rookie, they're good!

There was a review of the site on the NPR program, Fresh Air, yesterday. Oh my goodness! It sounds like the kind of site that'd get you hooked pretty quickly. And, apparently, to avoid copyright issues, anytime there's a copyright challenge, the video clips get taken down immediately. So there might be stuff there today that's gone forever tomorrow.

I'm scared to get started. It sounds addictive. Good, but addictive.
 
I seem to get on it at least once or a dozen times a day!!! I've always wondered where those people (who send me joke videos) get them from.

I think I'm hooked. Just saw some footage of James Brown, which made me think of folks influenced by JB. So I did a search and found a music video of Terence Trent D'Arby. Haven't seen him since the 80s. Bella Faccina, the song was called. I guess it was part Italian/part English. Pretty cool. I wonder who I'll search for next.

There's a lot of homespun video footage. But lots of good music stuff, too. Maybe I'll look for some footage of old, classic music, pre MTV. :cool:

Martha Reeves and the Vandellas Dancing in the Street from 1966. Marvin Gaye lip synching to "Keeping Gettin It On" on Soul Train in 1972.

Those are the dates posted -- not quite sure they're right. I could've sworn the album Let's Get It On was 1973. But whatever. I'm singing along ... loud! And having a good time. :lol:

Thanks for the suggestion, MrJoel. They do have some cool videos over there, as well. Youtube seems to have more of the vintage footage that I like -- stuff from people's personal collections, it seems.


Hmm. Maybe I'll take another trip down memory lane today.
