What are the best beer you've ever had?

I've only started to drink couple years ago but I found myself liking beer the best (compared to liquor, mixed drinks, wine etc). I've only tried a few like corona, heffeweizen, killians, newcastle etc. I'd like to try some new kinds out there but there's just so many to choose from! Any good recommendations?

beer? the drink that gives people a 'beer-belly'? umm..no thanks :p
Only to those who don't practice moderation and exercise regularly. We dancers have a way of being able to drink (beer and/or mixed drinks, but never in the same night) and not have it show on our bodies :D

Beer. What a great subject.

I like good beers, not a fan of larger though. I have no idea what decent beer you get in the US. Personally I think most beers do have a correct time and place. Bud is definately a summer beer, no doubt, out of the bottle with BBQ'ed food. Corona should only be drank with lime, it's a poor substitute for a decent continental beer (like a Peroni Nastro Azzurro), but with a lime it's a reasonably *******ing beer, I guess.

However, I will take the opportunity to advocate local breweries. The ones here in the UK produce the best beer in my opinion. Try and find out what are your local beers and search them out. The drinking establishments in my area which stock the best variety of small brewery beers are the best places to drink.

guiness of course...but I rarely meet a beer i don't like...most any local beer consumed while in the carribean works nicely

Used to LOVE Guiness...but then I got drunk (and sick) off it, so no more Guiness for me.

Have you tried Smithwicks, F? It's similar to Guiness, IIRC, but not quite so...thick.
