Latin Madness - the off Broadway Show

Has anyone heard or seen this production, which is based in NY but was performed last year at the LA Salsa Congress? What did you think?
 
The Entire Latin Madness was performed at the LA Congress?? Hmmmm... wow, I hope they broke it down to a few hours a day.

Anyways, I have seen Latin Madness, it is a funny funny show, the dancing is good. It has gotten better over the years, and hopefully will keep on growing. I think they "expanded" too fast and looked to capitalized on their relative success in NY City too soon. Never-the-less, the show is worth seeing. I really enjoyed it and would definitely see it again.

They attempted to trace Salsa back to its roots which I thought was very nice, even if the dancers couldn't do bomba, nor Cuban Rumba to save their lives. Still, it was a joyful event!

Wish you had seen "Lady Salsa", Boriken.......you would have really enjoyed it 8) !
 
To my knowledge, there are no online videos but there are photos. There might even be clips from different performances given by the Descarga Latina and Santo Rico dance companies during their travels.

They did too many shows here in NY City and other parts of the world and they didn't get good reviews, many critics stressed that we got overloaded with too much latin madness, without making new additions to the show. There were a lot of bad reviews when they came back to NY City from their last show.
 
Sorry, I am still lost. Their "last show" to my knowledge, was in Zurich, end of January? Or their last show in NY which was in October 2003?

I was thinking of the tour prior to the last show held in NY City last year... I believe they went to france and other places...
 
Who is going to the NY/NJ "Salsa on the Hudson" Congress in November? Are you going to see Latin Madness also? :D

I gather there is a DVD available. I don't know what it is like or which performance it is - 2003 or 2002. :?

Yeap, I was already complaining when she said she wanted to go, but I'll have a good time though...
