Romantic moments with ballroom...

Hi folks!

Have you had some very romantic moments with ballroom?

Have you had more then one special moment?

What was your most romantic?

Being a newcomer my experiences are limited, yet my top moment to date had to be the time one evening when I showed a woman a basic box waltz inside an art museum in an empty gallery with music playing in the backround. Very sweet and special!

Umm do you mean romantic as determined by one partner or both? :lol: :lol: :lol:

I dont know if it was so much romantic as it was beauiful but.... it was a funny thing at first and I remember it so clearly.
I was dancing a progressive dance and the DJ says "Take a look at your partner and ask yourself how well you know them because you are about to dance a Rumba with them!"
I didnt know the guy at all because it was my 1st time at this venue.

We danced and it was so smooth and every lead so perfectly executed, it was the first time I could honestly say that the music moved me rather than my feet simply being in time with the music.
My partner thanked me after it saying it was the best dance he'd had all night.

Unfortunantly I havent been able to recreate that feeling again .

I was at a formal ball with a very good friend of mine - tuxes and ballgowns, the whole nine yards . . . we were doing this viennese waltz and it was just so smooth - I closed my eyes just as we were spinning past a huge live orchestra along the edge of a crowded floor . . . Magic!

Romantic moments? Hmmm, let's see.

My Best Moment

I met my fiance on the dance floor. I first saw her in the big beautiful ballroom here in NC (ashevilleballroom.com) and then while watching my teachers teach an advanced class that she was in.

When I first started dancing I was intimidated by the advanced dancers and she had to make the first move by asking me to dance.

We started dating and then went Salsa dancing for fun and in the smoky, sensual atmosphere became quickly enamored with each other.

We've had lots of sweet and romantic times together dancing since.
