Help with Cha Cha move

I am going explain this as best as I can so please bear with me as Im desperate to know what this move is!

Out of a basic I was led into a half spin (clockwise), and then my partner caught me with both of us facing the same way, (ie-my back was against his chest), he never let my hands go and our arms were wrapped around my waist, he held me there for a few seconds then on the next bar of music spun me out again.

It was fantastic fun and I told him I enjoyed it and he did it a few more times during the dance, but I must have been having so much fun it never occured to me to ask what it was called!

Can anyone help me?

I used to do that move with my former teacher, David, although we used full spins or even double spins. He never told me what they were called, sad to say. Golly! I loved David. He was a fantastic street dancer. 8)

Yeah, it sounds a lot like the EC swing sweetheart. I learned peek-a-boo as the version where there is a hand change, and the lady alternates from the man's right and left sides (the boo is optional).

Hmmm, that sounds a lot like a wrap-in, but to the leader's front rather then to his side; never done it that way and I've never done a wrap-in with Cha-Cha but use it a lot in ECS.

ShyDancer, can you explain in detail how he spun you out? Sounds like a neat move. 8)

It sounds similar to "rolling off the arm" in samba. Some of you who know better can correct me. I don't really know that move in samba yet, though I think I've done that in merengue tons of times.

Can be called many things...sweet heart / cuddle / wrap. All describe the same move. It is one of many variants. You can do cuddle for more then one bar before doing the spin out. He can also put you to side and guide you under his arms backwards out of the wrap, followed by a turn or switch hands to untangle the web of hands. It goes on and on... By the way I'm referring to club cha cha as that is what I mostly do.

Thanks Everyone :)
I cant wait to try it again, I will have to ask about it durning my next Latin class.
I did notice he varied it by spinning me 2 times, but everything else remained the same.

Ill try! Basically he pushed me off his body (as I was almost in a sitting position) lifted both arms above my head, turned my arms so I spun again and finished it with a lock step into basic once again.

Sure, this is a move from Hustle that we do here in DC (although I brought it here with me from Richmond, VA)...if you continue to spin the lady, she will end up in a drop due to the arm finishing behind her back.

Actually I do use something similar to this in WCS where the leader takes the follower past his left side with both hands, but counter-clockwise and tucks her in front of him and releases her on the final count.

Depends on what style hustle we are talking about Shydancer, and how one dances it. Isn't necessarily that close to cha cha.

That move can be called several things, and it can be done in several dances . . . I do a similar in WCS after switching the direction of the slot which now faces the sudience, then bring her out, still holding on to her hands as she does 'attitudes walks' toward the audience with me right behind her, then as I bring her out of this, we again change the direction of the slot back to parallel to the audience . . .

TIP: in WCS Jack and Jills, the judges like to see slot direction changes, and remember not to affect others still in their slots!

Cha Cha, to me, is not like Hustle . . .

Ok I got the wrong impression of Hustle

I have NO idea of what it looks like as I have never even heard of a class that teaches it here, its near impossible to find a Swing or Rock n Roll class here :?

I'm sure that for some, and some stylings, there are things in common... but, for whatever it may be worth SD, I really like cha cha and really dislike hustle.
