Not that any of you are going to be in town, but...
One of the local dance nuts is organizing the "Night of the Living DJ's" for the weekend of Memorial Day (specifically the Saturday night). Six DJ's will put mixes together for two dance floors from 7:30 pm to 1am. I've been asked to be the "ballroom" representative, but we will have DJ's for swing, salsa, Argentine tango, zydeco, and country/Cajun "gumbo."
Unfortunately my parents are coming in for vacation that weekend, but heck... we're trying to pump up the volume on this dance among all of our friends. I am going first-shift as a result, but I'm fairly excited about it. I have my mix almost ready, and it will include a couple of nods to the other dance styles so I forewarn everyone... be there early!
So what's your ultimate dance party? Obviously it would be similar to the big European dance party (Switzerland I think), where they pretty much take out an entire convention center and have multiple floors going on all night. At least this is the next best thing going ... especially around here.
