I use normal window cleaner but I wipe it with newspaper instead of a cloth. It doesn't leave streaks.

How about vinegar and baking soda as cleaning products?

Vinegar is a great solvent. For example, it does an excellent job cutting the mineral deposits in the bottom of the teakettle.

Baking soda? Great for eliminating odors. A box in the fridge or freezer is so well known that it's a cliche. But how about some loose powder in the garbage disposal, or in a fishy pot or pan to eliminate odor? That works too.

Then there's using dryer sheets to deodorize a would-be stinky trash can. That works, too. :D

Only if one had a grandmother that one could terriorise  cliche perhaps but no harm in being reminded :D

Carbon is also good for absorbing odors. If you are a chemist you can get any organic solvent and use it for really greasy situations. When I moved into my current place the kitchen was a hell hole. The floor was black from grease. When you walked your shoes wanted to cling to the floor. Some organic solvents soaked in a cloth and rubbing that for quite a few hours did the trick. (Some dirty Chinese people were living there before me. I kid you not. The place had cobwebs all over, was dusty... :( )

I guess this isn't all that nautral, bt does anyone use their vaccum cleaner (Hoover) instead of a broom to sweep linoleum or tile floors? It works a lot better and is quite easy, without having to buy special products. I learned that trick back when I had a cleaning lady. My floor positively sparkled. 8)
