i don't know if this applies to anyone here, but i'm gonna share anyways and get some opinions :P

there's a girl in my school that dances only she makes it seem like more of a competition then it really is. now i know that some dance is competition (i do some of that) but this is like enemy competition, heh. i've known her since sixth grade and we both tried out for the poms squad our freshman year. well, she made it and i didn't because i hurt myself in the process (ironic how it was her that tripped me, lol). well, anyways, to make a really long story short... she spends a lot of time trying to get me to be jealous of her since she's been on the squad for three years now and i'm only on dance company. of course, i just laugh it off since i really don't dance for anyone but myself. i'm just wondering if anyone has had experience with people like this and if you had/have, what do you do about it?

Making other people jealous only shows how envious you are and that you have an inferiority complex. If you ignore her then you show her up for what she actually is. Which is what you are doing.

Some people are just like that, dr daffy. I ran into more than a few, back in Jr. High and High School, and especially in the higher level all city youth orchestra. Some people just don't know when to leave the competition behind.

You're doing the right thing to ignore her. She'll end up hurting herself, eventually. with an ego that fragile, she won't be able to avoid it. *shrug*

yeah, you guys are definitley right... she got pretty upset when she saw me performing with her last friday at the last minute performance my teacher needed me to do. i had the lead and she didn't  i like making people jealous, lol
