That's sad, but life happens. Tickets went on sale last night & I already sent my request into Joel. I'm looking forward to it.

I AT a VERY little. Two To Tango is the name of my dance business.
I would like to make it to a Balboa event because I love the dance and don't get to do it very often.
Sometimes I think if I could only dance Swing/Balboa/Quickstep/Foxtrot I would be OK, but then a Cha Cha, Samba, Rumba, or Salsa comes on and I'm off on another tangent.

I have to admit its a good name.
There are good opportunities in the NE for Balboa. I don't know about OR, but there is a very strong collection of balboa dancers in Seattle. I settled into AT, Balboa and Lindy. Oh, I'll dance some cha-cha, or salsa, or CW 2-step, or whatever, but my main dances are those three.
Best of luck if you do get the inclination to head off to a bal festival.

Yes, there are some pretty talented dancers in Portland too, but I live 2 1/2 hours away and have cut back my dance travel in the last 1-2 years so I don't dance it very often, even though I think it's a great dance.
Have fun at the Rendezvous.
