What's your favourite tango move?

I still consider myself very much a beginner and have LOTS to learn, but from the little I know, my favourite move is the one where you're in crusado and you're flicked around 180 degrees to wind up in crusado on your opposite leg (can't think of the name, gosh darnit!). When you get it and land perfectly on balance, it's very rewarding.

What's your favourite tango move?

I like moves that make me feel like I am falling or floating, not standing on my own legs but being held or lifted. Lifts, volcadas, colgadas (not because of the way they look but because of that free feeling they give me). I also like boleos, I call them back massages :D They feel like a goooood stretch or massage for my back. But honestly for me it isn't about the moves. One of the best dancers I know only leads caminar, cross, ocho cortado, maybe an ocho and a parada. Once he lead me a calecita and I couldn't believe it :D It came as a surprize from him. He creates a wonderful connection and I seek connection in tango.

I like to do a hard turn to the left, with some pivoting on the inside leg, and going a little off axis so it feels like you are going to fall for a moment, but it kind of powers you around... Hmmm, hard to explain, but way fun.

I stole this one from Blues dancing: Do an Americano step, and side-to-side then lean way over so the lady is leaning and can then can do a leg wrap with the outside leg.

I picture this one. It’s a move like the one at 2m50 In this video, isn’t it?

I see it regularly done in performances. But I haven’t yet learned it myself. Grrrr!

Yes, that is it, and I wish i could dance that well. You can also do it slowly. A fun variation is to pause for a moment at the most leaned over point if it fits the music. Bigger leader and smaller follower is a good idea on this one.

My favourite moves aren't any specific class of moves but rather the ones that just get improvised in the moment (sometimes by my partner). Some of them become "signature" moves, and some become specific to a particular partner or musical passage.

I once invited somebody by mirada, we were in two opposite corners of a large room. It felt really magical.

Yeah this is the best, once I was looking for someone with about 5 people blocking line of sight, and it worked anyway because she was also moving from side to side trying to find me. Complete strangers. Magic

Parallel system - lead forward with right, weight change, back with right, weight change, repeated
Done to a double time run until end of phrase.
Extra special if you can time it so the last step is a forward right, and you take that one outside partner.
