July 4th Sunday

Good morning. Is anyone from NY here? Are you planning to go to Jimmy's Social on July 4th :?:

I'm actually from NY, but the state, and not the city. Since I'm coming up this weekend I won't be able to make it the next one. Just works out well for helping my sister move her stuff, meeting with my cousins etc. Unfortunately, every day it looks as if I won't be able to go out dancing again. Was hoping to come up early on Friday, but with a death in family of a staff member I'll probably be opening the library at work, and leaving later, and I might even have to leave on Sunday to come back... Does not leave much time to do anything...Anyway, getting to know my sista's landlady should allow me to visit later on in the summer...probably be there for the salsa congress in August? I think? Then there is this NY/NJ salsa festival Thanksgiving week. Depending on how the first one goes I'll do the second. Anyone planning on being there for those two events?

Boriken is in NYC, though, and he does go out dancing a lot.

It would have been nice to meet in person sagitta! there is always a next time...


I don't really do Jimmy Anton's, but Imma have to check it out if you do go. Last time I went, before meeting Pacion there, was over a year ago.

Jimmy Anton's social is on 39 West 19th Street, (between 5th & 6th Avenues), 5th floor. Bring 10 shirts, and 20 gallons of water...

I assume AFTER the fireworks of course?
