C&W Losing Popularity?

Still googling. Found a bunch of club listings out there -- with a huge number of clubs listed as closed, closing, or changed from C&W to some other dance style.

What's up? Is C&W another one of those dance forms that saw a heyday (say, for example, the line dancing craze of the eighties and early nineties,) but is now losing ground? Or is this just the normal ebb and flow of dance clubs -- in and out of business for other, mostly financial reasons?

what do you think?
