help

is there an admin for the photos section?
i wanna upload, but am having trouble...keeps saying something like 'permission ... error'

Hiya jenn, there's actually an uploading problem that started when we migrated the site over to our new dedicated server. Hopefully the problem will be resolved soon but, unfortunately, this is something we've needed to get an outside programmer to help us with. :?

oh, i see...so the photos in the gallery are ones uploaded before all this?

Yes, I had been uploading photos from the 2004 USDSC when the DF started having serious stability problems and we elcted to make the move to the dedicated server. Unfortunately the switch seems to have generated an error with uploading both album photos and avatars. Normally we'd have been able to get an outside programmer to help fix the problem sooner, but such outside helps takes money and, at the moment, we're trying to make sure we have enough to cover the costs of the dedicated server through such things as donations, the DF Silent Auction (we're still excepting donated items this week -- and they do NOT need to be dance related), and DF T-shirt sales. Hopefully we'll be in a position to get everything fixed up in short order.

...I just hope that all the Pro Ballroom copuples from the USDSC that I wasn't able to post don't think I was discriminating against them! :shock: :lol:

Depending on what kind of programmer you're looking for, I might be able to help. I got my degree in Computer Science and have been studing/coding PHP and mysql for about a year now.

am having trouble uploading photos... i go through the process, click upload/submit, and it even tells me i uploaded successfully, but nothing appears in my gallery...

wondering what i'm doing wrong... can anyone help?
