NOW, I'm having pain in the top up my shin, below my knee. What's really weird is that the only time it hurts is when I push up from a chair, stepping up the stairs, or pushing up from out of the car. Painkillers don't help and resting it doesn't seem to work either. Guess the next step is the doctor.... Yuck!![]()
this is going to sound weird, but im new to this, how do i post a post![]()
I would probably make the same guess as your instructor. And it sounds like you're doing all of the right things for it. Have you been taking any anti-inflammatories as well?

The chiropractor told me my sacroiliac joint has been displaced all these years, probably when my teacher stepped on me while she asked my senior to hold me down.
 What on earth was this instructor trying to do?I've never heard of such a thing.
Uh well.. It's kinda hard to explain. ^^"
It wasn't a ballroom dance class though, so sorry if you're horrified because you thought it was a ballroom incident.
It happened in a stretching session prior to modern dance rehearsal. There's this position called the frog's. We were doing it belly down, trying to flatten our pelvis to the ground while maintaining that position, except I couldn't because my natural hip alignment doesn't allow it, so she asked someone to hold me down while she stepped on me to flatten me out on the ground.
She was quite persistent that everyone could do it (seeing as I was the only one who couldn't) so... say ouch.
Thanks everyone, for the advice and well wishes.I don't think it's something that can completely recover despite my trying to alleviate the situation, which is why I decided to come here for some additional advice and see if there were others who have had sacroiliac displacement issues. I still have to get my sacroiliac popped back into place by the chiropractor since it gets displaced quite easily now. I still dance though. Call me suicidal, but I don't have it in me to make myself stop.
