Franco and Oxana

The German Open actually takes place in August.
This is another event.
The item about Franco and his new partner was posted a while back on dancesportinfo.net.
Actually, Franco and his former partner (the other Oksana) turned pro about two years ago, but they immediately split up. I don't think they ever competed as pros together. So this should be very interesting.

Isnt Franco the guy in the video on youtube doing rumba that goes thru the other guy's legs when he gets stuck and can't get back to his partner? I love that guy!!

Haha! I luv that description anp73! Yes, that's Franco. He's one of the very Latin men out there who really doesn't give a %$#@ when he 's out on the dance floor. In every IDSF Grand Slam I've seen, he has always displayed great showmanship, spontaneity, and great rhythm. Nothing about his dancing is repetitive; he's always different in every performance and that's what makes him a champion because he really understands how to play off this action-reaction thing in partner dancing. Oksana, his former partner, did a great job of always being in tuned with his spontaneity on the dance floor and that's hard when you're dancing with Franco I'd imagine!

When I saw him in Blackpool 2004, he actually fell while doing that split in the rumba, and he promptly laid down on his stomach and did this swimming action thing for a bar or two!! Can't wait to see him 'live' again with Oxana!

He is amazing! I saw him in another clip on you tube where he went down into a straddle/split where he was about a foot off the floor, holding himself up by his feet and ankles. Then he just jumped up from it into a crouch. I was watching in amazement. What a character! Would love to see more of him!

Wow.....I wish I could have seen that

His fluidity, showmanship and technique are all incredible . . . if there's such a thing as perfect dancing, I feel like this is it
