Canaro's Poema

How can I buy this beautiful classic tango song with good sound quality. It is hard to come by and is only available form Argentina. Are there various versions. Where can I get this song. They play it all over with good sound quality so someone must have a good source.

TheTangoshop.com said they had it and then kept me waiting for 2 months as they ordered it from BA - no CD and I had to ask file a claim with paypal for my money back - terrible customer service - no return emails or calls you always get a machine)

It is an old recording.

Keith Elshaw is restoring old recordings to improve the sound, and he has Poema somewhere in his 60 restored CDs

You can buy just the song "Poema," for $0.99; or the whole album for $9.99

There is also a similar track availability from Amazon.com's beta MP3 service if you prefer your music not locked to Apple products. The quality is supposedly 200kbps and up, which ought to be good unless you're an audiophile. I'm sure other music download services also exist, but I haven't looked at them.

I use to by CDs at tangostore.com if I like the whole album or the songs at itunes if I like just one song of an album.

It is a beautiful song. If you like Poema, you might also like Rembranza on Pugliese's Auscencia . For some reason, the one always reminds me of the other.
