Hello Friends,
Most shines are taught on ladies count. However, when I social dance I dance on guy's count(obviously me being a guy). When I want to start a shine routine in the middle of a dance I am going back on 1 and 2, the opposite of what I did in class while learning the the shine on ladies count where I go forward on 1 and 2. I was wondering how I could transition to ladies count during social dancing to start the shine?

I think that you don't need to worry so much about your exact shines routine that you learned in class.. with exact timing...... instead try to mix up just a few different shine steps/moves from your class and incorporate it in your basics....What is important is to start dancing again on count "1" when you get back in hold.
