Just wondering what everyone is doing for Valentine's day... whether you are single, married, dating, etc.

Any dates with friends??? with family??? Valentine's Day is about LOVE, not JUST romantic!! (and so i normally give valentines to everyone i love... which i know some people find strange )

What date ideas are you planning if you are celebratind with a spouse or bf/gf?? Anyone doing something different??

I'll start... We haven't made reservations yet, but the bf and i were thinking about doing a dinner/wine pairing... we love wine tastings! :)

Not strange at all. My daughter and I usually make a big batch of heart-shaped sugar cookies a day or two in advance and then both kids decorate them with frosting and sprinkles. Pumpkin waffles for the whole family on Valentine's morning in our conveniently heart-shaped waffle maker. I will probably make a nice dinner for my husband the night before because I will be going out of town on Valentine's Day.
OK, just realized our entire Valentine's celebration revolves around food.

what day of the week is that.....???? lolz...b/c if it is a monday or a tuesday...well...answer equals...not much...generally for dh and I it is a quiet time together and a nice meal at home or out along with and exchange of cards

I'll be in bed having dreams about ladies who hand feed me grapes and cakes whilst reciting love poetry as I hang in my hammock on a sunset beach with my cocktail (including sparkler/umbrella & cherry).

yes, i was sad to learn v-day was on a sunday this year :( but i guess it has to happen every now and then!! heehee

etp, all of us female DFers can be your valentines!! :)

As every year, I'll be sitting at home by myself. :P

Dude, we should totally have a Valentines Day pity party. We could eat chocolate cake, rent Bridget Jones's Diary, and talk about our ex's!

....wait. ...nevermind.

Make that pizza. Pizza, an action movie, and yomama jokes.

 anything but talking about ex's!

Can we do some shots and sock dancing please?

I'm down for that, lol

I'm working in the morning, but I will probably organise to do something with BF. Nothing expensive or anything, but just to spend time together, maybe in the city.

We'll exchange cards as well, and I got him these

Going to bake chocolate chip cookies and carry them warm from the oven along with a nice card to one of my favorite guy friends

I used to HATE (and that word is not nearly strong enough to convey my emotions) this day as it was to be my wedding day many years ago, and alas that engagement ended- a long, sad, tragic tale :(

However; I had an epiphany this past year and decided that by spreading/sharing joy with others, I would feel better and actually enjoy the day.

Now- if I say this (and do this often enough) I just might convince myself ;)
