Apologies to those outside the U.S., but I think you can still take the quiz. :)

My result (unsurprisingly): The West
Your accent is the lowest common denominator of American speech. Unless you're a SoCal surfer, no one thinks you have an accent. And really, you may not even be from the West at all, you could easily be from Florida or one of those big Southern cities like Dallas or Atlanta.

I feel special...

Using that quiz, I am very much from The West (California)! No surprise there...

As time goes by, every now and then I say something with a slight Texas twang. But very rarely...

Great poll, by the way!

I live in Pittsburgh which has it's own accent.

California is such a melting pot that it has a "neutral" kind of accent. "The lowest common denominator", as the quiz results explain. It is also how people on a lot of television shows speak, so kids pick it up. This is why so many people around me--though not from the West Coast--can be believed to be from California...

Northeast. Unsurprising. My parents are both from NY. Occasionally my mom will slip into an extremely heavy NYC accent. :D I think I picked up most of my pronunciation from them.

Though sometimes I find myself slipping into a slight southern accent, or blurring my words together, depending on who I'm talking to. MD has an interesting mix of north, south, and the east-coast fast talk.

I'm really quite partial to some of the nicer Southern accents. As for non-American, I quite like the Irish and Australian ones...

As a Californian, I think I have a boring ("neutral") accent...

Yes!!!! My accent is as Philadelphian as cheesesteak, despite the fact that I've lived away from Philly longer than I lived there!!! Woohoo! Never forget where you came from. *grin*
